Bio
Hi, I am a very sleepy sewer demon named Tulula.
My work as an artist all ties back to story. My goal in everything I do creatively is to find the most effective way to tell entertaining, meaningful and cohesive stories. This work ranges between single-frame illustrations to short animations and sometimes live-action film.
Often the work I do comes with a sense of humor, which borders on unnerving. However, I aim to stay away from truly disturbing or offensive material.
Instead, I explore darker ideas with spooky characters and creatures, vibrant colors and ominous settings.
While these themes dominate most of my personal art, I also enjoy exploring the lighter side of things. I like to laugh, and I believe that comedy is an important tool in communication in society. Humor can also be very healing.
I believe that approaching concepts like death and fear through a lighter lens can be therapeutic.
I don’t believe that horror-based concepts should be limited to dull color palettes. Instead, I like to pump my artwork full of color and bring it to life with charged saturation that excites the senses.
